Complete bioplastic weaning set consisting of a saucer and bowl with high, splash-proof edges, a cup and cutlery that are easy for little hands to grip, helping them learn and become more independent during meals.

Our weaning food set is made of PLA (polylactic acid), a biodegradable material obtained from the processing of renewable plant sources such as corn, beetroot and sugar cane, and commonly referred to as bioplastic.

PLA is the eco-friendly alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastics which, being a non-renewable resource, take hundreds of years to degrade and can release harmful chemicals into the environment. In fact, PLA takes just a few months to degrade and can also be recycled.

In terms of environmental sustainability, PLA is also preferable to silicone, which is widely used in the production of baby food sets, because it is:

In addition to being environmentally friendly, bioplastic is a durable, sturdy, lightweight and non-toxic material.

The Nuvita weaning set can be washed both by hand with a delicate detergent and in the dishwasher; the illustrations are laser printed, are completely non-toxic and remain unaltered over time when washed in the dishwasher.

The saucer, bowl and glass can be used in the microwave: we recommend heating at 500W for less than 2 minutes.
